BIOSPAIN
2023-09-08BioSpain is the biotechnology sector’s flagship international event, and this year, its 26th edition will be held at the Fira de Barcelona (Montjuïc Campus) facilities from 28 September 2023. Among other goals, this convention aims to promote innovation and investment and create meeting spaces to foster partnerships and business opportunities in the European biotechnology field.
This edition will be organised by AseBio and Biocat, with the collaboration of Barcelona City Council and the Generalitat de Catalunya, featuring more than 2,000 professionals from 30 countries.
Working with Biocat, the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council’s contribution to Biospain 2023 will be the round table on the “Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products Strategy,” which shall address challenges for the development of ecosystems in Gipuzkoa and Catalonia in the area of Advanced Therapies. One of the speakers at this round table will be Itziar Vergara, Scientific Director of Biodonostia and a GANTT (Gipuzkoa Advanced New Therapies Territory) Strategy partner.
In the framework of the GANTT Strategy, this Gipuzkoa Provincial Council initiative aims to exploit the ecosystem’s capabilities and revitalise the territory around Advanced Therapies, seeking to turn Gipuzkoa and Euskadi into international benchmarks in this field.
VIVEbiotech, another GANTT Strategy partner, will also attend BioSpain 2023, organising the round table entitled “Lentiviral vectors for gene and gene-modified cell therapies.”
The Gipuzkoa Provincial Council’s involvement in the round table to be held on 26 September is a clear statement of the GANTT Strategy’s support for scientific and technological excellence.
