The Gipuzkoa Provincial Council has developed GANTT (Gipuzkoa Advanced New Therapies Territory) to respond to the challenge of exploiting the capacities of the ecosystem and revitalize the territory around Advanced Therapies (AT), coordinating the various agents in the sector to make Gipuzkoa and the Basque Country an international benchmark in AT.
GANTT is one of the three strategic projects within the BAT (Basque Advanced Therapies initiative launched by the Basque Country Government.
What are Advanced Therapies?
ATs are highly innovative medicines that are based on the use of genes, cells or tissues to prevent or treat diseases. They are especially relevant given that they allow personalized treatments to be developed and are revolutionizing medicine by constituting new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of diseases that until now have lacked other effective treatments.

Gipuzkoa will take advantage of the capabilities of its AT ecosystem, which includes leading companies, specialized start-ups, and a benchmark healthcare system in research, to promote the development of strategic initiatives that facilitate its international positioning.
